A new leak of an iPhone 7 case appears to back up previous rumours about what to expect from Apple’s next flagship smartphone.

The case, which has appeared in a number of images on Twitter account @OnLeaks, clearly has
holes for a dual speaker system at the bottom of the handset, suggesting that we're in store for richer, fuller sound with this year's model.

The space in the case for a larger dual lens camera system also seems to back up stories about Apple’s imaging plans for the iPhone 7.

But tellingly, there's no hole for a 3.5mm headphone jack. Instead there is room only for Apple’s Lightning charging connector.

This tallies with a number of reports claiming that Apple is going to ditch the traditional headphone slot on its new device and instead offer users the chance to listen to audio via the Lightning port.

Doing so will also apparently make the iPhone 7 significantly slimmer than the current iPhone 6s, with a frame as thin as 6mm according to some sources

Apple’s flagship iPhone update is not due until autumn. However, the company is set to launch its new, smaller iPhone SE
